Transformation: We exist to effect change in people, families, communities, systems and nations.
A community of believers engaging the power of God to expand the Kingdom and produce positive change. (We want to touch everything and change everything we touch.)
We believe that it is your personal relationship with God that positions you for the maximum life possible. We also exist to break down barriers that have been built between people; racial, gender, denominational, class, cultural etc. We believe that God has given us the authority, access, and commission to establish heaven’s values on earth.
We sum this up as:
COME TO BELIEVE / COME TO BELONG / COME TO BECOME
Our goal is to provide an environment, structure and process to help you BECOME who God created you to be; by integrating your past, your design, your calling and your gifts with God’s ability, to help you reach your full potential in Him.
Connecting people to God, people to people and Heaven to Earth.
Stones Church serves the western portion of the state of Michigan from the cities of Kalamazoo and Grand Rapids. We place an emphasis on “Go and Be,” rather than “Come and See,” as it encourages, equips and deploys members from all walks of life, to practically apply the principles of kingdom living to excel in their sphere of influence.
Stones Church began as a small Bible Study which met in homes in Kalamazoo on a daily basis for over a year. On January 21, 1980, it was formally established as a church.
On October 7, 2007, Stones Church expanded to a second site in Grand Rapids, Michigan, with the mindset of “One church, two great locations.”
We draw people of various ages, races and backgrounds who have a deep hunger for God, His manifest presence and His wisdom.
Pastor Joel Brooks is a nationally known speaker, author, and the Senior Pastor of Stones Church, a dynamic, 2,100 member, multi-cultural church located in Kalamazoo, Michigan, with an additional location in the Grand Rapids/Kentwood, Michigan area. He is also the founder of Romantic Warrior Ministries. Pastor Brooks places an emphasis on men taking the leadership role for which God created them, takes a strong stand for racial reconciliation and unity, and targets young adults, challenging them to mature and to accept responsibility.
